My approach to therapy...
Choosing the right therapist is hard, so let me give you some background on what differentiates me from other therapists.
I’ve been in practice for 13 years, & in addition to the standard license I have training in Jungian Psychology, Internal Family Systems (IFS), Dream Analysis, & Hypnotherapy.
These all overlap in that healing & resolution is found by exploring the inner workings of your psyche. This is popularly referred to as “parts work” or “depth therapy."
I emphasize the mind-body connection, as trauma often manifests as tension or pain in the core of the body, stomach, abdomen, lower back, upper torso, chest & shoulders.
When we experience trauma - memories, thoughts, emotions, & physical sensations naturally become fragmented making the healing process convoluted and nonlinear.
Together we'll identify & work with these "parts," which represent various emotions, beliefs, & behaviors.
This helps alleviate inner conflict & provides relief of both emotional & physical symptoms.
The approach I take to therapy is very intentional. I've worked with so many clients who truly believed healing was something unavailable to them.
"Treatment resistant" issues like C-PTSD, trauma, Eating Disorders, chronic depression & anxiety, & personality disorders are all issues I regularly help people with.
Please know your situation is not hopeless.
